Welcome to the Back Cottage — a charming, recently renovated retreat nestled among the trees, offering a peaceful and private island escape. Perfect for couples, families, or small groups seeking to relax and connect with nature, this cozy space invites you to slow down and enjoy the tranquil surroundings of Pelee Island.
Start your day sipping coffee on the covered screened porch, surrounded by the calming sounds of the forest. Spend your time exploring the nearby beaches, trails, and natural beauty, then unwind by your own bonfire area or cook a delicious meal on the propane BBQ as the sun sets behind the trees.
The Back Unit features a spacious yard, covered screened porch, individual bonfire area, and all the comforts you need for a restful stay. As a standalone unit, you won’t share indoor or outdoor living spaces with other guests.
Situated amidst nature yet just a short walk from The Dog and Goat Restaurant, Scudder Marina, and the North End Public Beach, this cottage offers the perfect balance of peaceful seclusion and island convenience.
Availability
We offer flexible booking options including weekly, weekend, long weekend, and monthly stays. The Back Cottage is also available during The Pheasant Hunt season.
Please note: A 3-night minimum applies for long weekends.
What to Bring
Guests are kindly asked to bring their own linens and towels, as these are not provided.
Property Details
Cottage House includes two private cottage units, each with:
- Covered screened-in porches
- Individual bonfire areas
- Separate yard spaces
- Charcoal and Gas BBQs
The only shared area is the driveway. The basement is for the use of both units and offers laundry and storage for bikes, water etc.

Cottage House is located 5.8 Km from the ferry terminal. Please turn left/North when departing the terminal and follow the road. There will be a slight right at The Bakery. You will continue to 96 North Shore Road. The Cottage is marked with a Cottage House Sign.

€186 of the total amount is due at time of reservation.
The remaining amount is to be paid 10 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy
50% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled 30 days before arrival or earlier.
0% refundable if canceled after.
